No they weren't advertised as Chinese-made, although the batteries are marked Made in China. The image on Amazon's website is of the Japanese-made batteries. On the website the 1900 mah are shown as Made in China. Unless the factory in Japan has shut down and all 2400 mah rechargeables are made in China I'm done with Amazon batteries.
I would send them back and but Lada Ni-MH 2450 cells from Ikea. They are Japanese cells and are the cheapest Ni-MH cells on the market.
I agree....the Ladda cells are my favorite also!

No idea but if you are using either the Panasonic Eneloops, Ikea Ladda or the Amazon Basics (Japan).........look at this: https://youtu.be/Jeo_hv-8bHI

Yah I have seen that Gary. The Ladda batteries are more expensive than the amazon for me since in Saskatchewan there is no IKEA store. I must order them and then after the shipping it puts them higher than then the amazon. The amazon are free shipping. But the Ladda are still a good deal. But I used them last winter and am not convinced yet they last as well in the cold as eneloops, amazon etc that’s why I asked how they work In the cold. They are also the fattest of the batteries and with some that can be an issue ... with that said I use them and will be testing further. One day I swear by them then the next I am unsure ... it’s probably just me .. lol
