I enjoy studying the habits of otter and have learned a lot in the last 50+ years. They are a shark in the water, a wolverine on land and still like to play. It's a challenge to follow them as they move from the beaver ponds , to the river and then to a few lakes in our area. I know where they are most any time of the year by knowing what they eat and when, find the food is my secret.
CharlieK We have many otter in our river since they banned trapping and I already knew all the landings they use along the entire river. I think I'll have photos of a large male otter within a week. I have 5 cameras set out for otter in various ponds, creeks and the river, I feel lucky to live in this area that is abundant with otter.
