A friend called me today to share that a neighbor was walking her dog and found a fresh deer carcass that had been dragged 40 yards or so, down into a ravine and the head became wedged between two trees with the carcass hanging in mid-air. It wasn't the best spot for a camera so I dead lifted the carcass up and allowed it to fall down into the ravine where I had good camera locations. The meat still smelled very fresh. If it was a lion, I hope it comes back tonight. Here's a photo from the perspective of my cameras.

Looks like most of it has been done et!

You'll at least get some lesser critters and ravens.

The deer I found in December fed the lion for one night. The bears showed up later that evening and the cat left. There was still a lot of meat left the next morning, but the cat was finished. It certainly got all the choice meat -- haunches and tenderloins -- but I was at a loss to understand why it didn't come back, unless it was those smelly bears.

Good luck!

Chris, the front shoulders haven't been eaten yet. There is still several choice cuts available. :-) Eternally optimistic. A bear would be great too. Anything but magpies, crows and ravens.

Can't wait to see what your set produces. It's interesting for sure.
