Here's a few test pics from the Canon S95. Night shots at ISO 640 and 400

The daytime photos are great. The night photos are not any better than the Sony point and shoot cameras I'm using. I was a little surprised about that.

I too was hoping they be a bit sharper at night...but the flash is plenty strong it seems. At least seem brighter than most other P&S cams I've seen.

I'll keep trying some different settings

Yes, now that you point out the fact they are slightly blurry, I realize that's what bothered me about those night shots. I have night shots from a P41 that are much, much better. But the daytime photos are stunning.

Thank you so much for your efforts. I really appreciate the time you are taking to do this!

I'm thinking the higher ISO (640)is adding some grain to these as well. The two at ISO400 aren't that great either but I didn't have a subject to focus on. I took more last night at 400 but I havnt downloaded them yet. They will be different though because we got 20cm of snow overnight..

Thanks Jeremi. Get those settings dialed in, and see if they improve.

These are all at ISO400, AWB and Center Weighted Average. These are better than the ISO640's but I'm still thinking of dropping the ISO a bit more.

I'd like to say thanks to my dog Jed for putting up with all the flashes :D
