The Lume Cube has been running for over one week now and still going strong. Here is an image from last night. The primary strobe is a Nikon SB28 pointed up at an angle that will trigger the optical slave but not light the target area. So, most of the light is coming from the Lume Cube. The camera is an old Nikon D90 set at f/10 and ISO 640.

So far I am impressed. I think this will have a place in the camera trapper tool bag.

Exciting stuff Jeff ... Jeff do u have a way of testing the cube in cold ? Or perhaps cold won’t effect the cube?

It is supposed to be in the teens this week and I am sure it will be below zero later this winter. So, the test will continue. I think I will pick up a couple more lights and broaden the field of view.

I think any keen Camtrapper will have a use for it.
It is available at a considerably reduced price in Australia (that's a change).
Jeff how do we tell the difference between the two models, do you have a part number, model number (l don't want to buy the wrong one) perhaps you can post an image of the box? Thanks

The model is Lume Cube 2.0 and is written on the box. Also the original had the light sensor on the front by the LED, the version 2.0 has it on top between the buttons. The original had a screw plug that covered the USB charging port. The version 2.0 has a rubber plug.

I understand Trevors uncertainty... they just are not labeled 2.0.... that would be so easy. Be careful when lookin into these. eBay and Amazon don’t particularly make it easy.

I received a reply from the EBAY seller, it could be the correct one as they claim it does not have sleep mode.
